The German Army (Heer), Waffen SS, Luftwaffe ground forces, Naval coastal artillery forces, and railroad troops were deployed as follows (the PDF link below) from 22nd June to 4th July 1941.

Note, the personnel and equipment displayed is based on the actual personnel and equipment in the relevant German units on the 22nd June 1941, and not on the TOEs of these units. If the latter were used, the personnel and (particularly) the equipment would have been considerably greater than shown here. The data shown is derived from a detailed scrutiny of all the units reviewed in Volumes IIA and IIB.
